Newcomer & Refugee Assistant 

The Newcomer and Refugee Assistance Service is aimed at families and individuals arriving alone in Canada, whether adults, young people or teenagers, helping them to overcome day-to-day difficulties and providing accurate information to limit obstacles.

 

What the agency offer?

Dorcare Healthcare Social's mission is to provide migrants with:

  • Migrant In Shelter social support

  • Guidance on the immigration and refugee process

  • Where to find government's services

  • Assistance with language barriers.

  • Orientation to communities and resources center

  • Advice for connecting with Local communities. 

  • How to use transportation

  • Mentoring opportunities

  • Social service advice

  • everything else they might need to know to start fresh in their new country.

Mental Health Support

Our mental health support is focused on

  • Young people

  • Adults

  • Families

  • Senior.

  • School, retirement homes and hospital staff

Our mental social approach support helps people in need to identify the problem and find the best way to solve it.

These issue include but are not limited to:

  1. Substance addictions

  2. unaffordable Housing

  3. Newcomer depression and anxiety.

  • Professional Social service advice.

  • Mental health case management

  • Advice about human right Ontario

  • Information toward accommodation and accessibility resources available in Ontario.

  • Information about justice services available to help individual in distress
